Hello!

I’m Freya, the founder of Crafty Sew & So, a UK-based sewing brand creating beginner-friendly sewing patterns and digital workshops designed to make sewing more accessible, enjoyable, and confidence-building.

I started Crafty Sew & So in 2015 with a focus on sharing my love of dressmaking and helping others build practical sewing skills. What began as a creative idea has gradually developed into a brand centred on clear, supportive sewing education.

Over time, the business has evolved from its early workshop-based beginnings into a fully digital platform, now focused on:

• Beginner-friendly PDF sewing patterns
• Step-by-step digital workshops
• Practical resources to support learning at home

Alongside my independent pattern releases, I also work with external partners, including sewing magazines, to develop and publish patterns for wider audiences. I also collaborate on external workshops and creative projects, continuing to share sewing knowledge beyond my own platform.

The aim of Crafty Sew & So has stayed the same throughout: to help people learn new skills, build confidence at the sewing machine, and enjoy the process of making their own clothes.

I’m excited to continue developing new patterns, collaborations, and learning resources for makers at all stages of their sewing journey.
