About Me
I have been working with oil paint for over ten years, developing a practice that moves between painting en plein air and working in the studio. In September 2024 I was elected an Associate Member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists, and since 2017 my work has been exhibited annually at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters open exhibition at the prestigious Mall Galleries, London.
I am drawn to the quiet magic of everyday moments and aim to capture them through paint with honesty and atmosphere. Whether working from life outdoors or arranging a still life in the studio, I am particularly interested in light, mood, and composition. In my still life paintings especially, I seek to create an emotional response in the viewer through carefully considered lighting and structure, allowing simple subjects to carry a sense of drama, intimacy, and narrative
