I am a researcher, theorist, and author who has spent half a century studying humanity naturalistically.

My work spans human behavior, pathological behavior, Panthropic Abuse, complex trauma, intergenerational trauma, poverty, adverse conditions, chronic stress, migration and bigotry, mental health, social cognition, consciousness, mental imagery, inner speech, aphantasia, anauralia, anendophasia, philosophy of mind, artificial intelligence, and the intersections among them.

For more than two decades, I searched the existing literature in psychology, psychiatry, cognitive science, neuroscience, psychoanalysis, philosophy, and related fields for answers to what I had observed in reality.

The body of knowledge I have accumulated does not reside within the record. Where science has already described the phenomena I have observed and researched, its explanations contradict what I have found.

I work zetopoietically across disciplines because human behavior does not stop at the boundary of psychology; trauma does not stop at psychiatry; cognition does not stop at neuroscience; and the problems created by artificial intelligence cannot be understood without examining the human knowledge from which these systems were built.

My research into mental imagery, inner speech, aphantasia and related cognitive phenomena has led me into questions that existing accounts do not adequately address. My research into abuse, pathological behavior, developmental trauma and chronic adverse conditions examines human behavior where conventional explanations repeatedly fail to account for what is observable. My work on machine behavior extends the same accumulated body of knowledge into artificial intelligence.

One of the conclusions that emerged from my work with AI is simple:

We gave the machine our knowledge, not the world from which that knowledge arose.

I bring that same distinction to everything I research: the record is not the whole of reality, and explanation is not the thing it attempts to explain.
