About Me

Hi Readers,

My Journey into Poetry

I began writing poetry in 2023, crafting the occasional poem as inspiration struck. By the end of 2024, thanks to the encouragement of friends, I found myself dedicating more time to my writing. Fast forward to now, and I have written 140 poems—what a journey it has been!

Life Across Australia

I was born in Sydney, Australia, and in 2001, I made the move to a property near Kingaroy, Queensland, where I enjoyed the peace and simplicity of rural life for a while. In 2016, I relocated to Hervey Bay, a stunning coastal town in Queensland, before returning to the city and settling in Brisbane in early 2025.

Writing and Inspiration

As an Australian author and poet, my work delves into the subtleties of life, emotion, and the everyday moments that shape us. My background is varied, having experience in graphic design, disability care, and aged care. This rich and diverse perspective informs my writing, allowing me to explore themes with honesty and therapeutic intent. My poems often reflect personal experiences, current events, and the quiet dignity found in ordinary life.

Current Projects

In mid-2025, I embarked on my debut novel, “Fragments of Harry”, a story told through the voice of a 65-year-old man facing the challenges of an early-onset dementia diagnosis. However I continue to write my poetry as well.

Balancing Work and Creativity

Currently, I balance my writing career with part-time work in residential aged care in Brisbane, while also running my graphic design business, Dare to Dream Creative.

I hope you enjoy my words!
