Helping Children Learn, Explore & Build Healthy Habits
DentBloom creates play-based educational resources for families, early childhood services and dental clinics.
Through stories, songs, movement, puppets, visual supports, hands-on activities and printable resources, DentBloom helps children explore healthy habits, confidence, curiosity, independence and early learning in meaningful and engaging ways.
At the heart of Bloomy’s Magic Garden is a connected collection of early learning projects designed to help educators move from isolated activities towards learning experiences that can connect, extend and grow over time.
🌿 SIX COMPLETE LEARNING PROJECTS
Six playful, hands-on learning projects form the core of the Bloomy’s Magic Garden learning journey.
Children can:
- ♻️ Recycle, reuse & create
- 🌱 Plant, care & investigate how things grow
- 🥕 Prepare food, build independence & explore composting
- 💚 Discover their amazing bodies
- 🦷 Build healthy smile habits
- 🔎 Think, look & discover through early science and inquiry
Each project brings learning to life through a combination of hands-on activities, project journals, songs, videos, movement, puppets, visual resources and educator guidance.
The projects can stand on their own, while also being intentionally designed to connect.
FIVE PROJECTS THAT BUILD ON EACH OTHER
♻️ RECYCLE → 🌱 GROW → 🥕 COOK & COMPOST → 💚 BODY → 🦷 SMILE
PLUS ONE THAT RUNS THROUGH THEM ALL
🔎 DISCOVERY LAB — THINK • LOOK • DISCOVER
Six projects. One connected learning journey.
A recycled milk bottle can become a planter.
The planter can help grow a carrot.
The carrot can become part of a food experience.
Suitable food scraps can move towards compost.
Compost can reconnect children with soil and future growth.
Food can lead to questions about the body.
The body can lead to questions about the mouth and smile.
And a question that comes up anywhere along the way becomes a Discovery Lab investigation — which is why Discovery Lab is not the last step, but the one that runs through all of them.
Why DentBloom?
🌱 Play-Based & Child-Centred
Young children learn through doing, with different ways to participate, communicate and explore.
🔎 Meaningful Learning Through Curiosity
Everyday moments become opportunities to notice, wonder, investigate and discover.
🦷 Evidence-Informed Health Education
Health and oral-health resources translate professional knowledge into positive, age-appropriate learning experiences.
👩🏫 Designed to Make Educators’ Work Easier
Ready-to-use starting points and connected resources mean less searching and less disconnected planning.
Less searching. Less starting from scratch. More meaningful time with children.
📚 Curriculum Support Already Connected to the Learning
Four curriculum guides for every complete DentBloom project.
All six complete DentBloom learning projects include dedicated curriculum connection guides for:
🇦🇺 Australia — EYLF V2.0 & NQS
🇬🇧 England — EYFS
🇺🇸 United States — Head Start ELOF
🇳🇿 New Zealand — Te Whāriki
The guides connect the experiences already inside each project with relevant curriculum language to support:
PLANNING • OBSERVATION • REFLECTION • DOCUMENTATION
So educators don't have to complete an experience and then start from a blank page when it comes to curriculum documentation.
The guides help teams recognise and document learning already emerging through play, movement, inquiry, communication, creativity, independence and hands-on experiences.
They are designed as educator support and should be used alongside professional judgement, service policies, local curriculum decisions and applicable regulatory requirements.
DentBloom is an independent educational resource and is not endorsed by the relevant curriculum or regulatory bodies.

Structure when educators need it. Flexibility where it matters.
🦷 Dental Clinics
Child-friendly resources for dental clinics and oral health professionals
DentBloom includes resources designed to help make oral-health learning and dental experiences more familiar and approachable for young children.
Resources can include:
social stories • dental-visit preparation • waiting-room activities • visual supports • brushing resources • songs • puppets • educational printables
The goal is not to turn every interaction into a lesson.
It is to give children positive, age-appropriate ways to become familiar with oral health and dental experiences.
🏡 Families & Caregivers
Playful support for healthy routines at home
Families can explore songs, stories, visual supports, brushing resources, routines, printables and dental-visit preparation designed for young children.
The wider DentBloom collection includes resources for different early childhood stages, including baby and toddler routines as well as preschool learning.
Because healthy habits don’t begin with a worksheet.
They grow through everyday experiences repeated over time.
More Than Six Projects
The six projects form the core connected learning journey.
But DentBloom extends beyond those projects.
The wider library can also include resources for:
🐾 Animal Adventures
Stories, facts, songs, movement and activities exploring animals and the natural world.
🧼 Healthy Habits & Routines
Handwashing, toothbrushing, water, food, morning and bedtime routines, independence and everyday self-care.
🎵 Songs & Movement

🦷 Dental Learning

👶 Baby & Toddler Resources

🎭 Characters, Puppets & Pretend Play

🔎 Discovery & Inquiry

👨👩👧 Family Connections
Resources help learning travel between the early childhood setting and home.
One library. Many ways to use it.
Created for Different Ways of Participating
Young children do not all participate in the same way.
A child might:
- draw
- point
- choose
- match
- talk
- move
- build
- listen
- pretend
- investigate
- watch before joining
DentBloom resources are designed to give educators different ways to invite children into the experience.
Participation doesn’t have to look the same for every child.

DentBloom was created to help children build healthy habits, confidence, curiosity and early childhood skills through positive, play-based learning experiences.
Drawing on clinical experience and a strong focus on early childhood education, DentBloom translates health concepts into resources young children can see, explore, practise, talk about and remember.
What began with oral-health education has grown into Bloomy’s Magic Garden — a connected early learning journey where sustainability, gardening, food, body awareness, healthy smiles and inquiry can build on one another.
Resources are designed for families, early childhood educators and dental professionals, with different collections supporting different settings and developmental stages.
