About Me
I'm a grant writer, nonprofit consultant, and, more recently, an author, though if you'd told me twenty-five years ago I'd end up writing a book about this work, I probably wouldn't have believed you.
For the past two and a half decades, I've helped nonprofits secure funding across human services, behavioral health, child welfare, housing, and education, more than $9 million in competitively awarded grants and counting. Along the way, I built a full toolkit of readiness checklists, budget templates, and workflow systems, the kind of practical resources I wish someone had handed me on day one instead of making me learn the hard way.
The Quiet Craft is that toolkit, finally written down and made available to anyone doing this work. It's not a book about theory. It's the actual system I use, built from real proposals, real funders, and real lessons learned.
When I'm not writing grants, I'm usually out chasing a sunrise with a camera in hand. Work and creativity have always run on the same current for me; one just happens to pay the bills more reliably than the other.
If something here is useful to you, or you just want to support independent work directly, thank you for being here. It means more than you know.
