I’ve been there, and I know firsthand how easy it is to get lost in the hustle and forget to take care of yourself. It’s essential to find balance, not just for your business, but for your mental well-being.


The Importance of Taking Breaks


When you're passionate about baking, it’s tempting to stay in the kitchen all day, perfecting those gourmet cookies or experimenting with new cookie flavors. But sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself is to step away from the baking aesthetic and take a break. I’ve found that when I’m feeling stressed or anxious, taking a breather—even when I don’t want to—is the best remedy. Just breathing away from the kitchen can do wonders for your state of mind and help you maintain that bakery aesthetic you love so much.


Don’t Overwork Yourself


It’s easy to fall into the trap of working every single day, especially when you're focused on how to make your first thousand dollars as a baker. But trust me, that’s a recipe for burnout. Make it a priority to take time away from the kitchen, whether you’re baking cookies or trying out new dessert recipes. Sometimes, ordering takeout is the best solution when you’re tired. Remember, it’s not just the baking that can wear you out; it’s the combination of baking, household chores, and daily responsibilities that can lead to stress and anxiety.
