About Me
E. Railey-Bey is a writer, researcher, and advocate for the restoration of
Indigenous nationality among the people now classified as African
American. His education began in public schools that taught him he was
something other than what his blood carried, and it continued in libraries,
courthouses, and county archives where he learned to read the record
against itself. He did not set out to become a historian. He set out to
answer a question the state had already answered for him, and the answer
he found in the documents was false.
