While researching Irish standing stones, I discovered one in Glencolumbkille, an ancient pilgrimage site etched with intricate carved squares. The pattern struck me like quilt blocks—geometric, rhythmic, rooted to the traditions of my family and history.
That design became the seed for this pendant (and its many variations). I redrew the pattern then translated the motif into CAD, 3D-printed a model to create a mold, and sand-cast the final piece in metal. The process bridges old and new: traditional casting methods meeting modern design tools.
For me, this pendant is both a homage to Irish heritage and an exploration of how patterns endure—shaped by human hands across centuries.
