I’m Francesco Ciavaglioli, a painter based in Milan.

My work explores the Garden: a place where ideas of care, control and order meet nature’s ability to transform, proliferate and escape the systems that try to contain it. I work in series, repeating forms and gestures until the natural and the abstract blur together. Painting often leaves the canvas and spills into the space, becoming wall, curtain, projection, a kind of interior garden in dialogue with ancient painting.
