Future Me: FAQ’s

Q1. Is this a PSHE or wellbeing scheme?

A: No. Future Me is not a PSHE bolt-on or mental health tool. It’s a structured identity curriculum grounded in psychological research. It focuses on future-self motivation, not emotional regulation or social knowledge. Future Me complements (not duplicates) PSHE. It gives space to reflect on who pupils are becoming — not just what they’re learning.

Q2. Where does it fit in the timetable?

A: Future Me is designed as a 20-minute weekly session, with daily ‘micro-moments’ naturally woven into existing routines. It enhances what you already do — not adds another subject.

Q3. How does it support curriculum priorities?

A: It reinforces personal development, character education, and metacognition. Each term includes guidance on how identity-thinking can deepen engagement in curriculum subjects without dictating content.

Q4. How will we know it’s making a difference?

A: Tools are provided to track impact through pupil voice, reflection tasks, Future Me portfolios, and staff observations. Schools can also use check-in questionnaires to show progression and link to school priorities.

Q5. Will it add to teacher workload?

A: No. Future Me provides fully scripted sessions. Micro-moments are integrated into routines — not extra lessons.

Q6. How is this different from existing aspiration programmes?

A: Unlike one-off events or education packs, Future Me embeds identity-building across the year. It is psychologically grounded, emotionally resonant, and works from Nursery to Year 6.

Q7. Is it inclusive for all pupils?

A: Yes. Future Me is built on the principle that every pupil — regardless of background — can see themselves as capable of a meaningful future. It includes suggested scaffolds for SEND and EAL pupils, and promotes equity through visibility, voice, and agency.

Q8: Is this suitable for both faith and community schools?

A: Absolutely. Future Me is inclusive for all. It’s rooted in shared human values — curiosity, empathy, kindness, justice, resilience, and purpose.

Q9: Do I need special training?

A: No. Everything is ready to use. But if you’d like deeper CPD, school-wide training, or ongoing coaching, support is available.

Q10: Can Future Me be used in early years or alternative provision?

A: Yes — Future Me is phase-appropriate from Nursery to Year 6. It’s also highly adaptable for nurture groups and flexible learning environments.

Q11. Is VAT included in the price?

A: No. VAT is not charged. The seller is not VAT registered. Your school will pay the flat membership fee shown at checkout with no additional tax. Receipts will reflect this and can be used for standard finance processes.

Q12. What does the membership include?

A: Your annual membership gives access to the full Future Me programme. You’ll also receive updates and network opportunities across the year.

Q13. How do we access the materials?

A: After subscribing, your school will receive login details to a secure members-only area. All resources can be downloaded as needed. Access is active for the duration of your membership.

Q14. Can we pay by invoice instead of online checkout?

A: At this stage, Future Me memberships are managed securely through online checkout. This ensures immediate access and reduces admin for both parties.
