About the course author - John Higginson
With over 25 years of experience teaching A-level Physics, I’ve helped thousands of students build confidence, deepen their understanding, and achieve top grades. I hold an MEng in Mechanical Engineering, an MSc in Science Education, and I’m a qualified teacher (PGCE).
Throughout my career, I’ve taught Physics and Maths at both GCSE and A level, as well as Level 3 Engineering, working in several highly successful schools and colleges. Much of my time has been spent as Head of Physics and Head of Science, leading teams and supporting students to reach their full potential.
I’m genuinely passionate about Physics — it’s a subject that explains how the world works, and I love helping students discover that excitement for themselves. My goal with Grade A Physics is simple: to make learning clear, engaging, and effective, so every student can achieve the grades they deserve.
