About Me

There was no manual. I took notes.

I’m Laura, a mom, educator, and advocate who’s lived through systems most people only read about. I’ve taught in public high school and parent support programs, but most of what I offer here comes from surviving it firsthand: messy custody cases, CPS visits, courtrooms, trauma cycles, and all the quiet endurance in between.

There’s a whole mix of diagnoses in our story. The kind that come with acronyms, paperwork, and a lot of hard days. I learned what I know by living it.

This space isn’t about polished parenting or pretty platitudes. It’s for the nights you don’t know what to say, what to do, or how to hold it all together. I make guides for those moments. They are research-informed, emotionally honest, and rooted in the kind of sadness and faded hope you only get by living it.

There’s no guarantee someone will stand beside you. Sometimes no one comes. You keep going anyway.

I hope to offer a little help in those hard moments, a reminder that you can keep going, and real ways to try.

Disclaimer: I’m not a lawyer, therapist, or licensed clinician. The resources here are offered in good faith, with care and research behind them, but they’re not a substitute for professional advice. I can’t be held liable for how they’re used or what happens next. I’m just one person, sharing what I’ve learned the hard way.
