Students explore rhyme, rhythm, onomatopoeia, oral storytelling, sensory language, and how authors use words to bring stories and settings to life.
Students discover Australian sugarcane farming, sustainability, food production, ecosystems, plant growth, and how environments influence agriculture and communities.
Students learn how illustrations help tell stories, explore rough sketches and drafting, and discover how picture books evolve from ideas into finished books.
Students investigate how harvesting technology has changed over time, explore how machines solve real-world problems, and imagine future inventions and farming technologies.
