This book was written by an English engineer who dedicated his life to developing high-endurance competition engines and was very active in this competitive field. From his technical perspective he described the advances in the Ford GT, GT40, Mark II, III, IV, Mirage, J-Ford car, from 1962 to 1967, which led it to win the endurance race at Le Mans 1966-1967 specifically.
In addition, he worked during 1970-1980 for the main F1, Can-Am, and Atlantic teams. The manuscript was kept for almost 50 years. This is a piece of the history of motorsports told by a participant in the events, not by a simple spectator.
"The only book on Le Mans that contains technical data documented and verified by an engineer who went on to work alongside Mark Donohue, Gilles Villeneuve, James Hunt and Bobby Rahal, among other icons."
