About Me

Rita Taylor is a pastor, racial reconciliation coach, motivational speaker, and unapologetic truth-teller. Her life’s work lives at the intersection of faith, justice, and healing. She serves as the Racial and Social Justice Organizer for an education union, where she builds power with educators, organizes for equity, and creates sacred spaces where marginalized voices are heard and held.

Rita is a former Language Arts educator who now travels the country speaking, teaching, and ministering with a voice rooted in both conviction and compassion. Her storytelling is raw, spiritual, and disarmingly honest. She is known for using humor to soften the blows of hard truths, helping people laugh even as they confront what hurts.

Rita is deeply passionate about emotional and spiritual healing, personal transformation, and holistic well-being. Through her work, she empowers others to engage in the courageous and restorative journey of becoming whole."

I Am Not Okay is Rita’s debut book. However, it reads like a lifetime of lessons. It is a journey of grief, grace, and gut-wrenching growth. Through personal narrative and prophetic reflection, she invites readers to sit with their stories, confront their truths, and rise again. This is not just a book. It is survival in print. It is deliverance on the page. It is proof that even when we are not okay, we are still becoming.
