The Metabolic Power of the Throat - PART SEVEN

The Metabolic Power of the Throat PART SEVEN

THE METAPHYSICAL APPROACH

If you already think or suspect that your emotional eating or overeating is related to your suppressed emotions and/or inadequate self-expression, then you may want to look into the metaphysical approach to this issue.

Also, if you can guess that your being overweight may be due to an underperforming thyroid -hypothyroid-, and you know that you always put yourself behind others, that you never stand up for yourself, and so on. Or if you do so, you do it from a place of defeat, feeling already defeated. Perhaps you need to shout, cry, and show aggression to be heard, and that makes you even more disenchanted with yourself.

Empowering thought-patterns

I especially like the work of Louise Hay, the queen of metaphysical healing, through realizing underlying negative beliefs and changing those with positive affirmations, empowering thought-patterns.

I came to learn about Louise Hay in 1990-1991. But believe me, her message, her teachings are just as fresh and uplifting and empowering as then, that time as now, and ever! For me, for sure, it was a breath of fresh air to read her words at that time and learn about her approach to healing and self-healing.

I was still living in Budapest, Hungary. Overwhelmed with health issues and symptoms that no doctor was able to address. At least, I didn't meet up until then, one who could. By that time, I had given up on the help of conventional medicine.

Her book titles: The Power is Within You, You Can Heal Your Life, Heal Your Body, were already an assurance and a beacon of light that there is a way to overcome unexplained, recurring, stubborn symptoms, mysterious “feeling-sick but I’m not sure why” states, and other challenges.

Through her books, she became a friend to me. They came with me wherever I moved, and I bought new copies when I traveled, stayed in the US, or lived in Switzerland.

Her books are the "must-have" ones, especially for women. But not only for them, for men too.

So, let’s see, what does she say about the thyroid and throat?

Before you read further, I wish to mention that you may not be able to connect right away with the universal cause or the most common cause of an issue. This doesn't mean that it is wrong or false. Neither are you wrong about your feelings and ideas. It’s all a question of timing, meeting, readying up for the realization of connections and uncovering untold, forgotten stories.

It’s also important to mention that there is a way to do this “work.” There is a method to it that makes it beautifully effective and transformative.

And if you need help, I’m here to help you.

A glance at another way

In this short article, I only wish to offer you a look. A glance at another way to approach a certain challenge or issue we may face occasionally or chronically.

However, not always, but most of the time, we need to address a stubborn problem on multiple levels: physical, emotional, mental, energetic, and spiritual.

Excerpts from her book “Heal Your Body, 1984,1988, Hay House, Inc:

Throat

The throat is the avenue of expression. Channel of creativity

New thought pattern:

I open my heart and sing the joys of love

Problems in the throat

Probable cause:

The inability to speak up for one’s self.

Swallowed anger. Stifled creativity.

Refusal to change.

New thought pattern:

It’s OK to make noise

I express myself freely and joyously

I speak up for myself with ease

I express my creativity

I am willing to change.

Thyroid

Problems in the thyroid

Probable cause:

Humiliation. “I never get to do what I want to. When is it going to be my turn”?

New thought pattern:

I move beyond all the limitations, and now allow myself to express freely and creatively

Hyperthyroidism*

Probable cause:

Rage at being left out

New thought pattern:

I am at the center of life, and I approve of myself and all that I see.

Hypothyroidism*

Probable cause:

Giving up. Feeling hopelessly stifled

New thought pattern:

I create a new life with new rules that totally support me.

Woman sits

I recommend that you just sit a little with those thoughts from Louise.

Taste them, chew them first.

If you think there is something there for you, I am here to help you to go further.

When words feel overwhelming, you can soothe yourself and help yourself through gentle yoga poses as well. Like in the photo above, a twisted sitting pose can also help loosen up stifled emotions and rigid thought-patterns. Don't forget: it is not you who is rigid - it is the thought-pattern. You CAN change them

Let me know how you feel now, what you think about this approach.

I am looking forward to reading your comments.

The next part is coming soon.

With Love,

Kripāmaya

Footnote:

The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland in the front of your neck.

*Hypothyroidism, also called underactive thyroid, is when the thyroid gland doesn't make enough thyroid hormones to meet your body's needs.

It can cause several symptoms, such as poor ability to tolerate cold, extreme fatigue, muscle aches, constipation, slow heart rate, depression, and weight gain.

*Hyperthyroidism, also called overactive thyroid, happens when your thyroid gland makes and releases high levels of thyroid hormone. It speeds up several bodily functions, causing symptoms like rapid heart rate, weight loss, increased appetite, and anxiety. (Clevelandclinic)
