About Me

Hi, I'm Dr Lisa Thorpe!

I'm a GP, health and weight-loss coach, and a firm believer that looking after our health should be enjoyable, sustainable and fit around real life!

I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2008 and have been a GP since 2014. Alongside my work as a GP Partner, I'm a GP Trainer, Ulster University student tutor and examiner, and GP Clinical Lead for the PEACETIME project, helping people improve their health and wellbeing through sustainable lifestyle changes. I am currently studying for my core accreditation with the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine.

In 2024, I completed my Weight Loss Academy coaching certification, combining my medical knowledge with my passion for nutrition, movement and behaviour change to help others build healthier, happier lives.

But there's much more to me than medicine!

I'm a foodie who loves cooking and eating delicious food, a runner and aspiring weightlifter, a horsewoman, dog lover and keen caravanner. Most importantly, I'm a wife and mum to two beautiful girls.

I know how challenging it can be to prioritise your own health when juggling work, family and everything else life throws at you. My own health journey has taught me that small, consistent changes really can make a big difference.

Through LTHealth, I want to share my knowledge, experience and practical resources to help you nourish your body, move more, feel stronger and build healthy habits that last.

Because healthy living isn't about being perfect. It's about finding what works for YOU! ❤️
