Why Do You Keep Doing What Doesn’t Serve You?

We move through our days on autopilot,

repeating the same steps, the same words, the same choices—

rarely pausing to ask why.

Why do you do the things that you do?

Do they water your growth,

or do they drain the roots beneath you?

Do they lift your spirit higher,

or keep you chained to a version of yourself you’ve long outgrown?

It’s easier to stay where it’s familiar.

It’s easier to keep habits that numb instead of heal,

to hold onto patterns that feel safe—

even when safe is slowly suffocating your light.

But here’s the truth you can’t escape:

every action is a brick in the foundation of who you’re becoming.

Every choice, every thought, every habit

is shaping the reflection you’ll see tomorrow.

So ask yourself—

if it doesn’t serve your peace,

if it doesn’t fuel your purpose,

if it doesn’t help you rise into the best version of yourself…

why do you continue?

The best version of you is waiting—

not in perfection,

but in alignment.

Not in comfort,

but in courage.

Take inventory of your life:

What strengthens you?

What weakens you?

What deserves to remain,

and what is begging to be released?

You are not meant to live in cycles that keep you small.

You are meant to grow, to stretch, to rise.

So I’ll ask you one last time,

and let it echo in your spirit:

Are you becoming who you’re meant to be…

or who you’ve settled to be?
