Maggie Cochran

Maggie is a coastal landscape painter. She is inspired by the Cornish light and how it reflects off the wet sand at low tide. Her paintings capture a sense of being on the beach, standing at the water’s edge watching the ocean ebb and flow, and encourage the viewer to feel the sense of meditative calm that being by the sea can evoke.

Maggie has a Fine Art degree and is a qualified teacher and adult tutor. She runs in-person workshops in her local area, enjoying sharing her passion and expertise with others. Her relaxed teaching style encourages students to enjoy the process and not worry about the end result.

She donates regularly to Surfers Against Sewage and UK based marine conservation charity Sea-Changers and loves that she can use her art to help conserve the marine environment that she is so passionate about.

Your online courses are great. The content is thoughtful and well-organised, the tips are invaluable, and the musing aloud as you work is such a sensible and helpful way of teaching.
