Another inspirational resource! It’s full of liberating insights into how, with the look and feel of a familiar shoreline in mind, you can let the composition unfold during the process of painting. An antidote for fiddlers!
It’s clear you need experience to get better at recognising what’s working and what isn’t – but this offers lots of tips to help smooth the path of creative (and increasingly joyful!) experimentation.

It is an excellent course from Maggie; I love it. So happy! A must for wax and mix media painters.

Colours of the Sea in Oil and Cold Wax

Follow me as I paint two loose atmospheric coastal scenes in blue and turquoise.

In this course I work on both board and paper using water soluble oil paint mixed with cold wax.

I work in a very loose intuitive style and talk through my decisions re composition as I go. I also share my choice of materials and my painting process.

You can watch as many times as you like and paint alongside my demonstrations or after watching them all.
