My journey into wellness began long before my online business, Mama Imara Beauty & Wellness, was born.

Mama Imara was born from a personal journey of burnout, renewal, and discovery through natural wellness practices — including smoothies, juices, and herbal healing.

I stepped away from the hustle and bustle of the rat race in New York City and began exploring natural wellness through fresh juices, smoothies, plant-based nutrition, and detoxification.

What started as curiosity quickly became a personal transformation.

In 2008, I was a performing artist in New York City with a hectic lifestyle. I started to experience burnout and began looking for ways to renew my energy. I had been researching for years, thanks to my vegan diet and natural lifestyle since 2001 — so finding effective ways to detox with fresh juices, smoothies, and herbal teas came easily to me.

I completed my first extended detox program by September 2008.

The results were profound. My energy returned. My mind became clearer. My vitality increased. Friends and family immediately noticed the difference.

What began as a personal transformation became a mission to help others restore their energy, reconnect with their bodies, and live more balanced lives.

Through simple, plant-based nutrition and guided reset systems, I created programs for my siblings, friends, and strangers — for free, for years.

Their positive feedback gave me so much fulfillment. What they experienced sparked conversations with friends, coworkers, and family members.

Before long, I was receiving emails from people around the world asking for recipes, guidance, and support.

That was the beginning of my mission.

Years later, after becoming a mother, I faced a new challenge. Following the birth of my daughter Imara, I experienced postpartum stress and significant hair loss.

Drawing from years of studying natural wellness, herbs, and traditional remedies, I created a herbal oil formula to support healthy hair growth. The results were remarkable.

Friends and neighbors began asking questions. I shared what I had learned. Their friends asked. Then their families asked.

Encouraged by the overwhelming response, I invested the only money I had then into creating my first batch of products.

The first 100 bottles sold out within 9 hours.

Mama Imara Beauty & Wellness was born. That was 2016. Since then, my natural products have sold all over the world, and I continue to serve hundreds of returning customers.
