About Me
About The Messy Middle
The Messy Middle was created to help small organisations bring more structure, clarity and follow-through to how work gets done, without immediately jumping to expensive consultancy projects or corporate transformation programmes.
After years working in operations across both large organisations and smaller teams, I have seen the same pattern repeat: good people doing important work, but slowed down by unclear ownership, scattered systems, weak meeting rhythms, duplicated admin and decisions that do not always turn into action.
The Messy Middle is my attempt to offer a more practical, accessible route. It is built for SMEs, charities, CICs and social impact organisations that have outgrown informal ways of working, but may not have the budget, capacity or need for traditional consultancy support.
The first focus is downloadable tools: scorecards, workbooks, checklists and templates that help leaders and teams diagnose operational friction, clarify responsibilities, improve meetings, strengthen reporting and build a more reliable operating rhythm.
Over time, I will also offer remote consultancy and review support for organisations that want more tailored help. But the starting point is simple, give small organisations useful operational tools they can use straight away, at a price that makes sense.
