About Me
Michael Isaacs is a poet from Ramsgate, who began writing in 2019 as a way of channeling grief after his mum, Lesley, died. Severely deaf, he wears bone anchored hearing aids (BAHAs), and also has Crohn's and OCD. Advocating for hidden disability awareness through poetry, he is the winner of multiple poetry slams, including a Kent Poetry Slam, and the editor of this anthology. In 2025, he was awarded a DYCP Arts Council England grant.
