I wasn't looking for another diet. I wanted to understand a different way of eating.
I am Kisilda. I am 43 years old, and I spent most of my adult life trying diets, losing weight, gaining it back, and starting again.
For years, I thought the problem was my willpower.
On June 14, 2024, I stepped on the scale and saw 102.7 kg.
I had been putting it off for months.
That morning, instead of starting another diet, I started learning about glucose management.
I was curious whether I could change the way I ate, still enjoy the foods I loved, and make it something I could actually live with.
I began experimenting with what I was learning in my own everyday meals.
"I told myself: this is not a diet. I am not prevented from eating what I like. I just eat it in the right order."
Within one week of adding a small salad before lunch, I noticed that my afternoon energy crash started to ease.
That was enough to keep me going.
I kept practicing the approach, adapting it to my real life, and learning what worked for me.
No gym membership.
No meal-prep routine.
No forbidden-food list.
Just small changes that gradually became the way I normally eat.
MY JOURNEY —
Jun 2024
102.7 kg. The starting point.
My first change was a small salad before lunch.
Jul 2024
Under 100 kg. For the first time in years, I was seeing the number move in a direction I wanted. People around me started noticing changes too.
Sep 2024
93 kg. I was continuing to build meals differently and making the approach part of my normal routine.
Aug 2025
78.7 kg. 24 kg gone. The habits I had been practicing had become part of how I normally ate.
