Empowering Young Minds, One Word at a Time

I’m Nadine Robinson, a certified Journal Therapist and Level 7 Life Coach with a master’s degree in Black British Writing. I’m passionate about supporting young people as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their full potential.

What does New Pathway Narratives Provide

Through writing therapy and life coaching, I create safe, nurturing spaces where young people can explore their emotions, build resilience, and grow in confidence. My approach combines creative expression, practical tools, and faith-based principles, empowering young people from all backgrounds to process their feelings, find their voice, and step boldly into their future.

Whether through workshops, long-term programmes, or scripture-inspired journaling, I’m here to guide young people on a journey of healing, growth, and self-discovery.

Together, we’ll write new narratives for brighter tomorrows—one word at a time.

How Writing Therapy is Beneficial for Young People

Writing therapy with a biblical framework helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to:

Develop Emotional Well-Being: It provides a safe space to process their feelings and experiences through scripture-inspired reflective writing. For example, focusing on Psalms 139 helps them see their intrinsic worth as “fearfully and wonderfully made.”

Enhance Self-Expression: Journaling exercises encourage young people to express thoughts they might not vocalise, fostering emotional release and clarity. Adding prayerful reflection helps deepen their self-awareness and connection to God.

Strengthen Identity: By incorporating passages such as Jeremiah 29:11 (“For I know the plans I have for you...”), participants build confidence in their purpose and future.

Cultivate Resilience: Writing about challenges through the lens of faith helps young people gain hope and strength, especially when reflecting on scriptures that speak about perseverance, such as Romans 5:3-4

What Writing Therapy Method Suits Your Needs?

Help Us Grow and Develop Meaningful Services/Programmes

Calling all young people, parents, and professionals! Your voice matters!

I’m currently working on a funding application to expand the reach of New Pathway Narratives, ensuring more young people (11-18) can access writing therapy to support their mental well-being and self-expression.

To make this happen, I need your insights!

  • Young people (11-18): Tell me how you express yourself and what support would help you most!
  • Parents/Guardians: Share your thoughts on your child’s well-being and whether writing could help!
  • Professionals (teachers, youth workers, mental health practitioners): What challenges do young people face, and how could writing support them?
  • Your responses will provide valuable evidence to show why this programme is needed and how it can make a lasting impact.

All information is solely used for funding and grant purposes.

If you can spare a few minutes to complete a survey, I’d truly appreciate it! Your input will help shape the future of New Pathway Narratives and support more young people on their journey to healing and self-expression.

Thank you for being part of this journey! Feel free to share with anyone who may be interested.

Work with New Pathway Narratives

'The Centre For Equity & Inclusion seeks to support postgraduate researchers of colour across the University of Sheffield. Through its bespoke Restorative Reflections workshop, NPN enabled our PGRs to process and reflect on the emotional toll of navigating harmful institutional structures. It introduced creative practices and critical tools that will help PGRs manage their mental health well beyond the workshop itself. This was all delivered with the warmth, patience and humour of NPN founder Nadine, who made PGRs feel comfortable and supported. '

'Nadine is an incredible individual who brings compassion, strength and insight into everything she does. We had the honour of working together on the Black and Good programme that Nadine took part in. Her light, wisdom and commitment to her work shined through in these sessions and this called on me to invite her to be a future facilitator for our workshops and events. Nadine is highly dependable, and supportive and pours her heart into everything she does. I'm honoured to be able to work alongside her and I will always recommend others to work alongside her as well to experience her many talents.

'Nadine is a force to be reckoned with. As a mother, business woman and coach she demonstrates the power of holding different roles, often simultaneously, whilst remaining authentic in her practice.'
