A Journey of Faith, Writing, and Transformation

My Journey to Writing Therapy

My name means hope and showerer of blessings—two words that feel deeply connected to my life’s journey. For years, I turned to journaling during both high and low moments, searching for peace in places that often fell short. It was through writing that I began to find clarity, healing, and a deeper sense of purpose.

Looking back through old journal entries, I noticed something powerful: hope was always present. Even in the most difficult seasons, writing helped me process emotions and reconnect with that spark of possibility. It became more than just reflection—it became restoration.

How It Started

In 2020, during lockdown and after having my fourth child, I felt a strong pull to do more. I started a simple newsletter aimed at uplifting women of colour through uncertain times. What began as a small offering quickly grew into a space where women felt seen, heard, and supported.

When people began asking if I offered coaching, I decided to leap. In 2021, I became a certified Life Coach and NLP Practitioner, and soon after created online spaces for people from the diaspora to connect, reflect, and heal through writing.

Where I Am Now

Today, my work blends writing therapy with coaching to support young people in finding clarity, healing, and confidence. While my journey began with empowering women, my mission has expanded to guide the next generation—helping them process their thoughts, manage emotions, and discover who they are at their core.

As a mother and mentor, I understand the unique challenges young people face. Through therapeutic writing, I help them let go of limiting beliefs, build resilience, and step into a stronger sense of self.

Beyond the Words...

My debut poetry collection, 'All of Me,' (2023) showcases my commitment to artistic expression. I've also crafted two transformative journals, 'Returning Home to Self' (2021) and 'Unfolding with Ease,' (2022) guiding individuals on their journeys. I was honoured as LinkedIn's Interpersonal Skills Top Voice in 2023 as well as being appointed an advisory board member of Do it Now Now. Most recently named among the 2024 Wise 100 Women of Social Enterprise, my work fosters connections and inspires growth.
