About Me
María E. Reyes, M.S., CCC-SLP is a bilingual speech-language pathologist, author, and founder of Neurodiversidad Consciente.
Her work focuses on the relationship between nervous system organization, communication, regulation, sensory experience, and physiological access across clinical and educational contexts. Through more than a decade of clinical practice supporting autistic and neurodivergent individuals and their families, she became increasingly interested in the conditions that shape what becomes possible in any given moment.
This interest led to the development of the Reading the Nervous System framework, a physiological approach to understanding behavior, learning, communication, participation, and regulation across time.
Through books, educational resources, training, and professional development, her goal is to help practitioners, caregivers, educators, and autistic individuals develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between physiology and lived experience.
