Customer Privacy Notice
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Who we are
Christopher Flynn, trading as Payday Pocket, is responsible for the customer and support information he uses to run this shop.
Email: paydaypocketuk@gmail.com
Address: 38 Talbot Street, Newtownards, County Down, BT23 4EG, United Kingdom.
Information we receive
We receive customer email addresses, order/product details, payment status and transaction identifiers, tax/location information supplied by checkout, download activity, and messages sent to support. A name or address may also be supplied through checkout or your enquiry. The platforms we use may collect device, IP, cookie and usage information under their own notices. We use basic store and social-channel performance reports to understand how the product is found.
Your workbook data
The Excel workbook does not connect to your bank or send your budgeting entries to us. Your own working file stays under your control. Do not send bank statements, bank-login credentials, full card details or unnecessary personal financial records when requesting support. Payment-card entry is handled by the checkout payment provider.
Purposes and legal bases
Order fulfilment, download access and purchase-related support: performance of the purchase contract.
Enquiries, complaints, maintaining service security and investigating misuse: legitimate interests in responding to customers and running a reliable shop, balanced against your rights.
Records required for accounting, tax and legal obligations: compliance with those legal obligations.
Optional marketing: consent where required. Buying does not require agreeing to marketing. We have not connected a separate marketing mailing-list service; any future marketing must respect your choice and include a way to unsubscribe.
Basic performance measurement: legitimate interests where lawful; consent where required for non-essential tracking.
Service providers
Payhip hosts the shop, checkout, digital delivery and customer account service: https://payhip.com/privacy
Stripe is connected for payment processing: https://stripe.com/gb/privacy
Google Gmail is used for messages sent to paydaypocketuk@gmail.com: https://policies.google.com/privacy
The separate marketing website is hosted through ChatGPT Sites/OpenAI: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy/
Our dedicated social channels and Metricool provide publishing and channel-performance services. Information you provide on a social platform is also subject to that platform's privacy rules. Customer order data is not required to view the workbook and is not uploaded to Metricool for publishing.
Providers may have their own responsibilities for the information they process; this notice does not replace their notices.
Retention
We keep order and financial records for the periods required by applicable tax/accounting rules and for resolving refunds, disputes or legal claims. Support correspondence is kept while needed to resolve the enquiry and any related complaint or claim. Once no longer needed for those purposes, information under our control should be deleted or anonymised. We minimise separate copies of checkout records. Platform-controlled records follow the provider's retention rules; for example, Payhip describes a ten-year retention period for digital-product EU VAT transaction records. Contact us if you want information about retention of a particular record.
International processing
Our providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. Their notices above explain their processing locations and transfer arrangements. Stripe describes adequacy arrangements, standard contractual clauses and the UK transfer addendum where applicable. Details of relevant safeguards or copies of applicable transfer documentation can be requested through the providers or our support address. Provider arrangements should not be taken as a guarantee that every record is stored only in the UK.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data, and withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. Some records must be retained to meet legal obligations. Contact paydaypocketuk@gmail.com to make a request. You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/
Cookies and website services
Payhip and payment services use cookies or similar technologies, including for checkout, login and security. Their notices explain their own use. No Google Analytics ID or Facebook Pixel is configured in this shop's seller settings. This is not a claim that the platforms use no cookies. Browser settings can control cookies, although blocking necessary cookies may prevent checkout or account access. Non-essential tracking added by Payday Pocket requires the appropriate consent where applicable.
Changes
We will update this notice when the way we use customer information changes and show the date above. Contact paydaypocketuk@gmail.com with privacy questions.
