Every Pencil Echoes portrait is a made-to-order, hand-drawn artwork created specifically for you.
Because your portrait is individually created, there are two important stages to keep in mind:

Once your artwork is ready and dispatched, the delivery time depends on your destination.

✏️ How Long Does It Take to Create My Portrait?
Every Pencil Echoes portrait is drawn by hand from your photograph, so the creation time depends on the size of the artwork, the number of people or subjects, and the complexity and quality of the photographs provided.
A simple portrait with one person may require considerably less time than a large family portrait with several people, detailed clothing, hair, backgrounds, or multiple photographs combined into one artwork.

🎨 Why Can Creation Time Vary?
No two commissions are exactly the same.
The time required can increase depending on:
👤 Number of People
The more people included in the artwork, the more time is required to accurately draw each face, expression, hair, clothing, proportions, and individual details.
A portrait of one person and a portrait containing six family members are very different projects, even when they are created at the same size.
🔍 Complexity of the Photograph
Some photographs are naturally more detailed than others.
The creation time may increase when the reference images contain:
- intricate hair
- detailed clothing
- jewelry or accessories
- hands
- complicated poses
- multiple people
- detailed backgrounds
- strong shadows and highlights
- difficult lighting
- several photographs combined into one composition
📸 Quality of the Reference Photos
Clear, high-resolution photographs usually allow me to work more efficiently and accurately.
If several photographs need to be combined into one portrait, additional time may also be required to make the final composition look natural and cohesive.
🖼️ Artwork Size
Larger artwork provides more space for detail, but that also means significantly more drawing time.
A 50 × 70 cm portrait, for example, requires considerably more work than a 20 × 30 cm portrait.
📅 When Will My Order Be Shipped?
Because every Pencil Echoes portrait is hand-drawn to order, I don't dispatch completed orders every day.
All completed orders are shipped on the following Monday.
This allows me to organize, carefully inspect, protect, and prepare each artwork before it leaves the studio.
For example:
Order completed → artwork prepared → following Monday → shipment dispatched → carrier delivery
This system helps me maintain the quality and care that goes into every Pencil Echoes artwork.

I understand that sometimes a portrait is needed for a birthday, anniversary, wedding, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, or another important occasion.

Reference review → sketch → proportions → shading → details → refinement → final inspection → protective packaging → shipping
That is why your portrait is worth waiting for.
You aren't receiving a mass-produced print.
You're receiving artwork created specifically from your memory.

Before your portrait leaves the studio, it is carefully checked and protected for transportation.
