About Me

I’m Zenni Nicole, and My family and I didn’t create SAGE because caregiving sounded like a good business idea. We created it because caregiving became our real life.

We care for my 83-year-old mother at home through advanced dementia and hospice.

I’m her daughter, her guardian, her advocate, the person answering the phone, tracking the medicine, watching for changes, asking questions, handling the paperwork, and still trying to remember that I’m a whole person too.

I know what it feels like when everybody asks about the person you’re caring for, but nobody asks how you’re doing.

That is why SAGE exists.

SAGE stands for Support. Advocacy. Guidance. Empowerment.

Everything here is created from lived experience. The guides help you understand what is happening and what to do next. The journals give you somewhere to put the feelings you cannot always say out loud. The cheat sheets make important information easier to find when your mind is already carrying too much.

SAGE was created with Black caregivers and families at the center because so many of us are expected to step in, figure it out, carry it quietly, and keep going. But every caregiver deserves honest information, practical support, dignity, rest, and care of their own.

There is no fake positivity here.

No pressure to call yourself strong when you are exhausted.

Just real help for people doing one of the hardest jobs there is.

BUT WE SEE YOU is most important!

You take care of everybody else.

SAGE is here to help take care of you.
