Q: What if I don’t have insurance?

A: I offer private pay options. Sliding scale is offered on a limited basis. If you're not using insurance, please indicate that in your intake form, and I’ll contact you directly with fee and sliding scale information.

Q: How long are sessions?

A: Sessions are 53 minutes long to meet insurance standards and provide adequate time for therapeutic work.

A: All sessions are conducted virtually via secure video. You’ll receive a HIPAA-compliant link once your appointment is confirmed.

A: The first session is about building rapport, reviewing your intake responses, and clarifying your goals for therapy. We’ll also discuss what approaches may work best for your needs.

Q: What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

A: I require at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in a fee, depending on your platform's policy (Headway, Rula, or private pay terms).

Q: How do I book a session?

A: Once you complete the intake questions and submit your insurance info, I’ll confirm availability and send a link to schedule. You can also use the calendar link on this site to request a time.

Q: What kinds of services do you NOT provide?

A: To ensure I'm practicing within my scope of competence and providing the highest quality of care, there are some services I do not offer. These include:

  • Emotional Support Animal (ESA) evaluations or letters
  • Court-ordered evaluations or forensic assessments
  • Custody evaluations or recommendations
  • Fitness-for-duty evaluations
  • Psychological or neuropsychological testing (I am happy to provide referrals for these services.)
  • Medication management or prescribing
  • Evaluations completed solely for legal, disability, or administrative purposes when an ongoing therapeutic relationship does not exist

My practice is focused on providing psychotherapy, clinical supervision, consultation, and trauma-informed mental health treatment. If you're seeking one of the services above, I'm happy to help point you toward an appropriate provider whenever possible.

About Me

Hi, I’m Jacqui.

Becoming a therapist was never part of my original plan. At 19, I was set on becoming a heavy-metal journalist—traveling the world, interviewing my favorite bands, and bringing the raw humanness of their stories to life.

But in 2003, during a chance interview with Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust, something shifted. Our conversation went deeper than expected, and I walked away with a clear, almost spiritual knowing:

I wasn’t meant to write about people’s stories—I was meant to help them heal. I was meant to take their stories and help them uncover the deeper meaning and purpose woven through them.

It wasn’t an identity crisis or a dramatic turning point. It was a grounded, unmistakable change in my spirit.

Twenty-three years later, here I am: a therapist, a supervisor, still in the mosh pits, and still sharing the music that raised me. I weave music into the therapy space the same way it shaped me—helping clients explore identity, meaning, and purpose through the rhythms and stories that move them.

Helping people has always been my calling—even before I knew it. My Higher Power simply had to position me where I could finally see it.

I’m also a wife, a mom of three, and a very devoted dog mom. I still love writing and researching—whether it’s for my PhD dissertation, the books I’m working on, blogs, or poetry. My vinyl collection continues to grow, and I still share a deep love of metal with my dad. I’ve lived a full, complex life, and I’ve learned to integrate my experiences with sound clinical theory and technique to support people facing a wide range of challenges.

Everything I’ve walked through helps me help others—and that’s exactly where I’m meant to be.
