Interactive post,
This is for you if you are ready to do the work
Alexis Bernier
The easiest way to become anything, is to be it now. Yes, BE IT NOW.
If you want to be rich, you have to be rich. This statement may sound controversial and sure you could say I am privileged for living this mindset, before anything allow me to quickly break this down.
Everything is energy, lesson #1 (absolutely everything). The words you speak, emotions (energy in motion), actions, beliefs, identities and thoughts all hold a certain frequency and vibration. This frequency then gets put out into the Universe and is reflected right back to you.
You're at point A, wanting to get to point B. Understand that the version of you who is at point A is different than the version you will be/are (time is not linear, everything is happening simultaneously) at point B. The "trick" is to become who point B is.
Allow me to give you a very clear example, I am someone who loves going to the gym (identity). This "person" or for better word, persona, came to be when I gave myself this identity. I used to be someone who did not go to the gym, the only switch that was made was:
- Mental — declaring I was now someone who went to the gym.
- Action — I became someone who actually went to the gym (by going to the gym — crazy right).
One more example to really hone this in; if you are someone who is trying to stop vaping (I am 277 days nicotine free), the absolute worst thing you can do is take on the identity of someone who is trying to quit. Why? Because you will stay at that identity, it will be a battle every day because you're in the frequency of "almost" done, "almost" completed, you will always be in that frequency.
Here is a good scenario: 2 people are at a party and they both get offered to hit a vape. One person says, "I can't, I'm trying to quit." That person will most likely be thinking about vaping that entire night, will be fidgety and trying to stop themselves from vaping because they're in the energy of "almost there." And on top of that, people will probably bring it up to them the entire night on their journey of "trying to quit."
The other person says, "No thanks, I don't vape." Right there they have set this identity for themselves (believe it or not, the hardest part) and now they can easily follow through with the action. People probably won't question it or even offer it to them again.
INTERACTIVE EXERCISE
You are aligned to my frequency, how do I know this? Well, you're reading what I am writing. I know you're someone who wants to elevate constantly, always doing better. I want to give you an exercise to reach these goals.
Take out a pen and paper, write down one goal at the top of the page, ex: meditate every day, lose 10 pounds, meet the love of my life. Then draw a line down the middle.
On the left, write down things you're doing right now. Be real with yourself, you're not trying to impress anyone. Drop your ego and show yourself truly, rawly, who you are right now.
Before writing on the right side, take a second. Take a few breaths and ask yourself: What emotions are you expecting/wanting to feel when you accomplish this goal? This might be happy, accomplished, safe.
Whatever the emotion is, I want you to close your eyes and cultivate that feeling in your body right now.
(The easiest way for me to do this is imagining myself having already accomplished my goal).
After cultivating that feeling and emotion (therefore frequency), write down who you need to be to accomplish this goal. Your habits, goals, thoughts, emotions. Everything. Start to be it till you see it.
