RISE THERAPY™
RETURN TO YOURSELF.
UNDERSTAND YOUR MIND.
REBUILD FROM WITHIN.
Psychological therapy for women — created by Lovnima within Shakti Rising.
There are moments in life when you know you are not quite yourself.
You may be functioning.
Going to work.
Taking care of other people.
Maintaining relationships.
Getting through your responsibilities.
Smiling.
Showing up.
And yet, internally, you may feel overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected, anxious, emotionally stuck or uncertain about what comes next.
Sometimes you understand exactly what is happening.
Sometimes you don't.
Sometimes the problem seems to be your relationship.
Sometimes it seems to be your thoughts.
Sometimes it is your emotions.
Sometimes it is a life transition.
Sometimes several things have become intertwined.
This is where RISE Therapy™ begins.
RISE Therapy™ is Lovnima's psychological therapy framework for women, developed within Shakti Rising.
It brings together her background as a psychologist, her training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), relationship counselling and mindfulness, and her experience working with psychological, emotional and relationship concerns.
The work is collaborative, individualised and focused on helping you understand your experiences, develop psychological awareness and work toward meaningful change.
WHAT IS RISE THERAPY™?
RISE Therapy™ is a psychological pathway designed specifically around the experiences and needs of women.
It is grounded in psychological approaches and may draw upon:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Relationship Counselling
Emotion-Focused approaches to relationship work
Mindfulness-based practices
Guided breathing
Psychological education
Emotional awareness
Behavioural and cognitive strategies
The specific approach used during therapy depends on your individual circumstances, needs and goals.
Psychotherapy is generally a collaborative process in which the psychologist and client work together to understand difficulties and develop healthier ways of thinking, feeling and behaving.
THERE IS NO "ONE SIZE FITS ALL" THERAPY.
Your experiences are individual.
Your history is individual.
Your relationships are individual.
Your goals are individual.
Your therapy should therefore be approached with that individuality in mind.
WHAT DOES "RISE" MEAN IN RISE THERAPY™?
RISE Therapy™ follows a simple underlying movement:
R — RECOGNISE
Recognise what is happening.
Recognise your emotions.
Recognise your thoughts.
Recognise your behaviours.
Recognise your patterns.
Recognise the situations that affect you.
You cannot meaningfully work with something you have not yet recognised.
I — INVESTIGATE
Become curious about what lies underneath.
Why do you react this way?
What thoughts appear automatically?
What beliefs may be influencing you?
What experiences shaped these beliefs?
What keeps the pattern going?
What happens before and after the behaviour?
What happens within your relationships?
Investigation is not about blaming yourself.
It is about developing understanding.
S — SHIFT
Once patterns become clearer, therapy can create opportunities for change.
This may involve:
Changing unhelpful thinking patterns.
Developing new coping strategies.
Changing behavioural patterns.
Learning emotional regulation skills.
Practising boundaries.
Improving communication.
Developing healthier relationship responses.
Building self-awareness.
Learning to respond rather than automatically react.
The goal is not to force yourself to "think positively."
It is to develop more balanced, flexible and helpful ways of responding.
CBT specifically works with the relationship between thoughts, emotions and behaviours and may involve identifying and modifying unhelpful thinking and behavioural patterns.
E — EMBODY
Insight becomes meaningful when it begins to influence everyday life.
Therapy is not only about understanding yourself during a session.
It is also about what happens afterwards.
How do you communicate?
How do you respond?
How do you set boundaries?
How do you handle difficult emotions?
How do you speak to yourself?
How do you approach relationships?
How do you cope with stressful situations?
How do you make decisions?
The ultimate goal is not simply to understand your patterns.
It is to develop new ways of responding to life.
WHY WOMEN?
BECAUSE WOMEN'S EXPERIENCES DESERVE SPACE.
RISE Therapy™ is specifically created for women.
Women may experience psychological wellbeing within a complex network of:
Relationships
Family
Work
Caregiving
Motherhood
Partnership
Social expectations
Cultural expectations
Identity
Body image
Life transitions
Reproductive experiences
Personal aspirations
Changing roles
Boundaries
Emotional responsibilities
These dimensions can interact with psychological wellbeing.
RISE Therapy™ therefore creates space to explore the whole context of your experience, rather than reducing you to a single problem.
WHAT CAN YOU COME TO THERAPY FOR?
You do not necessarily need to arrive with a diagnosis.
You may simply know:
"Something isn't right."
You may be struggling with:
EMOTIONAL OVERWHELM
Feeling emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed or unable to cope with everything happening around you.
ANXIETY & WORRY
Persistent worrying, overthinking, fear, uncertainty or feeling constantly on edge.
STRESS
Difficulty managing ongoing personal, professional, family or relationship pressures.
LOW SELF-WORTH
Struggling with confidence, self-belief, self-criticism or feeling that you are "not enough."
OVERTHINKING
Finding yourself repeatedly analysing situations, conversations, relationships or possible future outcomes.
DIFFICULT EMOTIONS
Difficulty understanding, expressing or managing emotions.
RELATIONSHIP DIFFICULTIES
Recurring conflict, communication problems, emotional disconnection, uncertainty or unhealthy relationship patterns.
BOUNDARY DIFFICULTIES
Finding it difficult to say no, communicate your needs or maintain boundaries without guilt.
PEOPLE-PLEASING
Feeling responsible for keeping everyone else happy, even when doing so comes at your own expense.
LIFE TRANSITIONS
Major changes such as separation, divorce, career changes, becoming a mother, changes in identity or other significant life transitions.
GRIEF & LOSS
Working through the emotional impact of losing someone, something or a relationship that mattered to you.
SELF-UNDERSTANDING
Sometimes you simply want to understand yourself more deeply.
Why do you behave this way?
Why do you react this way?
Why do you keep repeating certain patterns?
Therapy can become a space to explore these questions.
RELATIONSHIP THERAPY WITHIN RISE THERAPY™
LOVE CAN BE COMPLICATED.
Relationships have always been an important part of Lovnima's psychological work.
RISE Therapy™ therefore gives particular attention to relationship concerns.
You may be experiencing:
Communication difficulties
Repeated arguments
Emotional disconnection
Trust difficulties
Boundary problems
Attachment-related patterns
Relationship anxiety
Difficulty expressing needs
Fear of abandonment
Fear of rejection
Difficulty leaving an unhealthy relationship
Uncertainty about the future of a relationship
Relationship breakdown
Separation
Divorce-related emotional difficulties
Patterns that repeat across relationships
Therapy can provide a space to step back from the emotional intensity of a relationship and examine what is happening.
WHAT DOES A RISE THERAPY™ SESSION LOOK LIKE?
THERAPY IS A COLLABORATION.
A session is not simply you sitting while someone tells you what to do.
Psychotherapy is generally an active collaborative process between therapist and client.
Depending on your needs, sessions may include:
TALKING
Discussing what has been happening.
EXPLORING
Understanding thoughts, emotions, behaviours and patterns.
REFLECTING
Looking at how experiences connect.
PSYCHOEDUCATION
Learning psychological concepts relevant to your situation.
CBT-BASED EXERCISES
Exploring thoughts and behaviours.
RELATIONSHIP EXPLORATION
Understanding interpersonal patterns and emotional dynamics.
MINDFULNESS
Using guided mindfulness where appropriate.
BREATHING PRACTICES
Using guided breathing as a supportive technique where appropriate.
BETWEEN-SESSION REFLECTION
Where appropriate, you may be encouraged to practise or reflect between sessions.
YOUR FIRST SESSION
YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO SAY.
You may arrive thinking:
"I don't even know where to start."
That's okay.
The first stage is often about understanding what brought you to therapy.
We may explore:
What you are experiencing
What has been happening recently
Relevant background
Your goals
Your relationships
Your current coping strategies
What you would like to change
From there, the therapeutic process can become more focused.
THERAPY IS NOT ABOUT TELLING YOU WHAT TO DO
YOUR LIFE REMAINS YOURS.
RISE Therapy™ is not about Lovnima making decisions for you.
If you are struggling with a relationship, therapy does not mean:
"Leave."
or
"Stay."
Instead, the work may involve helping you understand:
What you feel.
What you need.
What you value.
What patterns exist.
What your boundaries are.
What options you have.
What consequences different choices may have.
YOU MAKE YOUR OWN INFORMED DECISIONS.
THERAPY IS NOT ABOUT "FIXING" YOU
You are not broken.
You are not a problem.
You are a person experiencing something difficult.
Therapy is an opportunity to develop understanding, skills and new ways of responding.
Sometimes the goal is symptom reduction.
Sometimes it is improved relationships.
Sometimes it is better coping.
Sometimes it is understanding yourself.
Sometimes it is rebuilding after a difficult experience.
Sometimes it is simply finding your way through a season of life.
RISE THERAPY™ IS ROOTED IN PERSONAL AGENCY
One of Lovnima's strongest beliefs is:
YOU ARE AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN YOUR OWN THERAPY.
Therapy can provide professional guidance.
But meaningful change usually requires participation between sessions too.
You may be encouraged to:
Observe patterns
Practise skills
Reflect on thoughts
Try different behaviours
Communicate differently
Practise boundaries
Use mindfulness
Complete agreed exercises
Track experiences
Build new coping strategies
The aim is to help you develop skills you can continue using beyond therapy.
THE THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP MATTERS
Therapy is not only about techniques.
The relationship between therapist and client is also an important part of psychotherapy.
RISE Therapy™ therefore aims to provide a space that is:
Respectful
Non-judgmental
Collaborative
Professional
Confidential within applicable professional and legal limits
Focused on your goals
Sensitive to your individual circumstances
You should feel able to ask questions about your therapy.
You should be able to discuss what is and isn't working.
YOUR VOICE MATTERS IN THE THERAPEUTIC PROCESS.
WHAT MAKES RISE THERAPY™ DIFFERENT?
RISE Therapy™ brings together several dimensions of Lovnima's professional background.
PSYCHOLOGY
Her academic and professional foundation.
HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY
Understanding psychological wellbeing in relation to health and broader life experiences.
CBT
A structured psychological approach focusing on the relationship between thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
RELATIONSHIP COUNSELLING
Exploring interpersonal and romantic relationship dynamics.
MINDFULNESS
Developing present-moment awareness and reducing automatic reactivity.
GUIDED BREATHING
Using breathing practices where appropriate as part of supportive regulation and grounding.
WOMEN-CENTRED WORK
Creating a space specifically designed around women's experiences.
WHAT RISE THERAPY™ DOES NOT DO
RISE Therapy™ is not:
A substitute for emergency mental health care.
A substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.
A spiritual healing service.
An oracle reading.
A manifestation session.
A way to control another person.
A guarantee of a particular relationship outcome.
A replacement for psychiatric care when psychiatric care is indicated.
A promise that one session will solve a complex problem.
RISE Therapy™ is psychological therapy.
WHO IS RISE THERAPY™ FOR?
THE WOMAN WHO IS STRUGGLING.
She may not know exactly why.
But she knows she needs support.
THE WOMAN WHO WANTS TO UNDERSTAND HERSELF.
She wants to understand her thoughts, emotions and behaviours.
THE WOMAN WHO IS TIRED OF REPEATING THE SAME PATTERNS.
She wants to understand what maintains them and explore different ways of responding.
THE WOMAN NAVIGATING A DIFFICULT RELATIONSHIP.
She wants a professional space to explore her experience.
THE WOMAN REBUILDING AFTER A RELATIONSHIP.
Separation, divorce or heartbreak can bring complex emotions.
Therapy can provide space to process them.
THE WOMAN LEARNING TO SET BOUNDARIES.
She wants to communicate her needs without losing herself.
THE WOMAN WHO IS OVERTHINKING EVERYTHING.
She wants to understand her thought patterns and develop more helpful responses.
THE WOMAN GOING THROUGH CHANGE.
She is entering a new chapter and wants support navigating it.
THE WOMAN WHO SIMPLY WANTS TO UNDERSTAND HERSELF BETTER.
Therapy does not always begin with a crisis.
Sometimes it begins with curiosity.
LOVNIMA'S APPROACH
PROFESSIONAL. HUMAN. COLLABORATIVE.
Lovnima brings together her professional psychological background with an approach that recognises that women are complex human beings.
You are not simply a diagnosis.
You are not simply a relationship problem.
You are not simply an anxious person.
You are not simply a collection of symptoms.
You have:
A history.
Relationships.
Beliefs.
Values.
Strengths.
Vulnerabilities.
Experiences.
Culture.
Responsibilities.
Goals.
And therapy should make room for that complexity.

A NOTE ABOUT RESULTS
Therapy can be deeply meaningful.
But it is not magic.
There is no guarantee that one session, one technique or one framework will resolve every difficulty.
Change can take time.
Progress can be non-linear.
Some days may feel easier.
Some may feel difficult.
The goal is not perfection.
THE GOAL IS MEANINGFUL CHANGE THAT IS RELEVANT TO YOU.
A MESSAGE FROM LOVNIMA
Dear Woman,
There was a time when psychology was the centre of my professional identity.
And it remains an essential part of who I am.
My academic journey began with psychology.
I studied psychology and counselling.
I later completed my Master's in Health Psychology.
I developed further training in CBT, mindfulness and relationship counselling.
I worked as a psychologist and counsellor.
And throughout that journey, I became particularly fascinated by human relationships.
Why do people connect?
Why do they hurt each other?
Why do they remain together when they are unhappy?
Why do some relationships become unhealthy?
Why do we sometimes abandon ourselves while trying to keep someone else?
These questions stayed with me.
And they still influence my work today.
RISE Therapy™ is my way of bringing that psychological experience into Shakti Rising.
I created it because I believe women deserve spaces where they can speak honestly about what they are experiencing without having to perform strength.
You do not need to arrive with perfect words.
You do not need to understand exactly what is wrong.
You do not need to have everything figured out.
You can simply begin.
We can explore.
We can understand.
We can question.
We can identify patterns.
We can develop tools.
We can work toward change.
But I will never tell you that I can live your life for you.
You remain the active participant.
I can guide you.
I can offer psychological perspectives.
I can teach you tools.
I can challenge unhelpful patterns.
I can create a space for reflection.
But your choices remain yours.
And your growth is yours.
That is why the word RISE matters to me.
Because therapy is not about creating a version of you that fits somebody else's expectations.
It is about helping you understand yourself more deeply so that you can make more conscious choices about how you want to live.
Recognise.
Investigate.
Shift.
Embody.
And then continue rising.
With warmth,
Lovnima

YOUR MIND MATTERS. YOUR EMOTIONS MATTER. YOUR RELATIONSHIPS MATTER. YOUR WELLBEING MATTERS. RISE THERAPY™
Psychological therapy for women who are ready to understand themselves, work through what they are experiencing and create meaningful change.
IMPORTANT PROFESSIONAL NOTE
RISE Therapy™ is a psychological therapy framework developed by Lovnima within Shakti Rising. The specific therapeutic approach used in an individual session will depend on the person's presenting concerns, needs, goals and professional assessment.
Psychological therapy is not a substitute for emergency care or appropriate medical treatment. Physical symptoms should receive appropriate medical evaluation, and situations requiring specialist psychiatric, medical or emergency intervention should be referred to the appropriate services.
The RISE Method™ and RISE Therapy™ are separate pathways within Shakti Rising. RISE Therapy™ is the psychological pathway; The RISE Method™ is the spiritual, educational and Divine Feminine pathway.
