⚠️ Windows “Unknown Publisher” / “Protected your PC” Message

When you download and install SharpMockups, Windows may show you a blue SmartScreen warning saying:

“Windows protected your PC” or “Unknown Publisher.”

This is normal and not dangerous.

The message appears only because SharpMockups is not digitally signed yet.

It does not mean the software is harmful.

So what to do?

Why does this happen?

• Windows uses code signing certificates to verify publishers.
• Since SharpMockups is distributed independently and not yet signed, Windows marks it as “unknown.”
• Once we add signing in future releases, this message will disappear.

• We never collect or transmit your files.
• You’re safe to continue installation.
