2013 | A YEAR OF TRANSITION

2013 was a particular year of transition in my artistic journey. After creating numerous artworks in 2012, I produced fewer pieces the following year, with no more than thirty officially completed works. As a result, no dedicated art catalogue was published for this period.

Rather than focusing on production, I spent much of the year experimenting, refining my compositional techniques and exploring other digital interests, particularly in video games and technology. It was also a year of practice and creative development, during which I gathered countless ideas for logos and brand identities.

At the time, I could never have imagined how important some of these ideas would become years later. Several logos and concepts I developed in 2013, including Killer Lady, Vertigo, Chupacabras and Astral Supernova, were eventually revived and reused in my creative projects. Some had remained quietly stored in my cloud archive, waiting for the right moment to find a purpose.

More than a decade later, these early ideas would become part of CYLA WORLD, my virtual music project launched in 2025. Even more unexpectedly, the Killer Lady concept would also become the title of my first novel in 2024, while Vertigo and Astral Supernova would evolve into virtual music acts.

Looking back, 2013 was not a year defined by the number of artworks I created, but by the ideas I planted for the future. Sometimes, a period of experimentation can lay the foundations for projects we cannot yet imagine.
