About Lewis

I'm Lewis, owner of Smarketing. Before working with authors, I spent over a decade in sales and marketing, eventually leading entire sales and marketing functions as a Sales Director.

I've spent the past few years applying everything I learned there specifically to independent authors, helping them put the right foundations in place before spending a penny on promotion.

Building Books is everything I've seen work, and everything I've seen waste people's time and money, put into one calm, structured guide. No hype, no agency jargon, just what actually matters, in the order it actually matters.

When I'm not writing or working with authors, I'm usually travelling, playing games, or out with my partner Chloe and our dog, Hugo.
