How to Become an Auctioneer in Georgia

In the state of Georgia, auctioneers are required to complete an 80-hour pre-licensing class that covers auction rules and regulations, and then sit for a proctored exam.


What Our Pre-Licensing Course Covers

Southeastern Academy of Auctioneering's 80-Hour Pre-Licensing Course for Georgia Auctioneers covers all the required rules and regulations, but it also covers so much more. Our course you will:

  1. Learn laws, rules, and regulations that govern the auction industry.
  2. Learn the Auction Chant.
  3. Learn about Auction Contracts.
  4. Learn the difference between being a contract auctioneer and owning your own auction company.
  5. Learn about live and online-only auctions.
  6. Learn about the different laws and requires for the different types of auctions.
  7. Learn how to set up your own auction company.
  8. Learn how to clerk and settle up each auction.
  9. Learn how to find auctions to work.
  10. Learn how to be a successful auctioneer!

How Long Does it Take?

Two weeks is all it takes! We do offer a weekend-only course for people who prefer.


What Does it Cost?
