Pre-Licensing For Auctioneers

We are excited to offer the 80-hour Pre-licensing course necessary to attain your auctioneer’s license in the state of Georgia. As Georgia's premier auctioneer school, our 80-hour pre-licensing course includes the following and more: 


Introduction to the Auction Industry

  • Types of auctions (e.g., live auctions, online auctions, sealed bid auctions, livestock auctions, fundraising and benefit auctions, equipment auctions, etc.).

Auction Laws and Regulations:

  • Legal requirements for conducting auctions.
  • Federal, state, and local regulations governing auctioneers and auction businesses.
  • Licensing and permit requirements for auctioneers.

Ethics and Professional Conduct:

  • Principles of ethical behavior and professionalism in auctioneering.
  • Code of ethics for auctioneers and industry standards.
  • Handling of confidential information and conflicts of interest.

Business Management:

  • Basics of starting and managing an auction business.
  • Business planning, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Marketing and advertising strategies for auctioneers.

Bid Calling Techniques:

  • Fundamentals of bid calling and chant development.
  • Voice control, rhythm, and cadence in bid calling.

Tuition is $1,495. But...we are waiving the application fee for October so it is FREE to apply! You only pay if you are accepted.

(There is a deposit of $250 to hold your spot if you are accepted. The remaining balance of $1245 can be paid any time before the first day of class.)

This class prepares you for the Georgia Auctioneer License Exam, but that's not all. This class will give you the skills to start your own auction company--from marketing to paying consignors, from sales tax to insurance. We want you to succeed as an auctioneer.

Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm


Class will be held live and in person in the lodge conference room of Little Ocmulgee State Park and Lodge located in McRae-Helena, GA.
