Happy New Year!

Thanks for checking out my Members site.

It really is quite simple.

This site gives me a way to share some of the material that doesn't fit on the Youtube channel (the 'algorithm' is pretty fussy about what it does and doesn't like and I have to keep a consistent theme or it punishes me!)

It also gives me an opportunity to interact with people in a better way. the comments section tends to get overrun and I can't keep up with people. I'n the supporters section I add videos responding to the general themes in the comments of previous videos and I am to try to give supporters a chance to guide future content, ask questions and generally be more involved in the channel than just passive viewers.

For now I have set up a free membership level and a supporters level.

The Free Membership lets you see some of the content that is available in the supporters area, to give you an idea of whether you want to join or not. There are currently a couple of extended interviews from Sarnago posted and bit by bit I will be adding content as the channel grows.

The Supporter Membership (£3/month or £32.40/year) is for those who want to help fund the project and make more in-depth work possible — most future videos, interviews and writing will live there. I will share some of my research notes, routes that I took on road trips and other content that gets created in the process of making the main channel videos but doesn't make the Final Cut or please the Algorithm gods...

There's no fixed content strategy or upload schedule, it really depend a lot of what is happening and what I have to share, my main priority is and always will be getting the main channel videos written filmed and edited.

I'm sure I will always be giving more the £3 a month's worth of value to you, but part of being a supporter is simply that you will be helping me grow my channel and create more videos and for that I will be very grateful!

Hope to see you inside!

Thanks,

James

About Me

I’m James, the person behind Spain Unfiltered. I make slow, story-driven films about place, history, and change — starting with Spain, but not limited to it. Much of the work focuses on what happens when tourism, economics, and identity collide, and how those forces shape real communities over time. I spend a lot of time on the ground: walking routes, talking to people, and trying to understand places from the inside rather than through headlines or stereotypes. This membership exists to support that work and to share the material behind each film — extended interviews, research notes, routes, and the stories that don’t always fit into a public edit.
