About Me

Hi, I’m Stephanie.

For years, I’ve been learning what it takes to find my way through hard things: marriage, motherhood, change, grief, and the stories I tell myself, whether true or not.

On several occasions, my marriage reached a place I didn’t know how to move through. I could see what was wrong with the situation and what I thought needed to change. What I couldn’t see as clearly was my own part in it. When I began to look at my thoughts without shaming myself or blaming anyone else, something shifted. I found a way to choose trust.

Those aha moments helped me find my way through, and left me with a question I couldn't shake: How do we catch ourselves when we’re caught inside a story and can’t see another way through?

I was the kid whose notebook was always covered in doodles in school. As I began doodling my own stuck places, I noticed that my drawings could show me things I hadn’t found by thinking harder. A posture, a symbol, or a few words in a speech bubble would give me enough separation from what was swirling in my head to see it differently, “Oh. That’s what’s going on.”

That’s how The Doodle Portal came to life.

I made it for the person who has something on her mind that she can’t put down. Maybe it’s a relationship, a decision, a worry about someone she loves, or a part of her life she's ready to change. She doesn’t need another person telling her what to do because she knows herself best, and just needs a little room to see and hear herself.

The Doodle Portal gives you that room. You name what’s happening, put it on the page, get curious about what you see, and choose your way forward. Sometimes that means taking action. Sometimes it means seeing the situation differently. Sometimes it means realizing you’re carrying something that was never yours to hold.

You don’t have to be an artist, and you don’t have to have the answer before you begin. Bring a pen, bring what’s real, and start there.

I’m glad you found your way here.
