The Harpsichord Shelf
Bringing rare and neglected music back to life
The Harpsichord Shelf offers digital editions of beautiful but little-known works from the 17th and 18th centuries - music that deserves to be heard and played again. Created by performer-editor Dr Masumi Yamamoto, each score is carefully prepared from original sources and designed for ease of reading and performance.
You will find solo harpsichord editions, ensemble works performed by the London Obbligato Collective, and educational resources from South London Harpsichord Academy. Together, these collections open a window onto the vibrant world of 17th- and 18th-century music - from rediscovered gems to practical tools for today’s players and teachers.
