After years of chasing big dreams across boardrooms, borders, and a fishing boat or two, I landed right where I needed to be: in the Hill Country of Texas, waving at strangers and swapping stories in small-town parking lots.

I started The Townie because I believe rural life is rich with meaning, humor, and grit — it just doesn’t always make the news.
