Hello and welcome!

My name is Tracey Kissoon I am a Chronic Pain Specialist and a Chartered Physiotherapist, author and speaker. I have studied pain and Neuroscience to Masters degree level and am literally just finishing the last part at Keele University.

Through both my personal and professional life experiences I have come to be passionate about PAIN! How it affects us not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too!

I am assuming you have landed here because you yourself are in chronic pain or a loved one is and you are not sure what this is all about!

Are you sick and tired of being in pain?

Are you fed up of being bounced from doctor to doctor, having more and more tests (and possibly more and more expense) only to be told there is nothing wrong, nothing can be done or keep taking the medication? This medication just doesn’t help, it makes you feel nauseous, groggy and STILL you are in pain?

Let me ask you a question ...

Have you tried everything else….meditation (that helps) medication ... Even just living with it?

Everything helps for a little while, and indeed you get some reprieve, and then…boom out of nowhere… something minor occurs and you are back where you started.

The real issue is not just the actual pain…it’s the poor sleep, the constant exhaustion, you may feel emotionally drained even anxious and depressed …some days every single cell in your body feels as though its screeching … some days you feel so bad you cannot believe how much pain you are in… that you start to actually doubt your own sanity.

I understand I really do…. I have been there too…

I started out on a quest to sort this out for myself….I got stronger and fitter, did the core exercises, taught the core exercises….still in so much pain…

I did yoga, mindfulness, went to inner child workshops, cried for two days solid ….you name it most of it I tried! I went on anti—inflammatory diets….gave up coffee and wine and gluten…these things all helped me…BUT NONE OF IT LASTED!!!!

I now understand why!

So.... where are we going from here?

It is possible to be pain free…

So what magic is performed?? Umm I don’t perform magic but I can help to unleash it in you!

There is a way out of this hell….but it isn’t for everyone…because its down to YOU!

I can tell you steps…I can give you the information…I can support you….BUT I cannot do it for you.

This is where medication, the medical model our expectations about our own personal responsibilities get a bit muddied!

Understand how...

Chronic Pain happens because the nervous system becomes overwhelmed and overloaded (usually because there are several other factors happening simultaneously) …using that very process (ironic or what) is what gets you out of the chronic pain state… However…..the key that I see missing everywhere is the process of rewiring the brain (or CNS) so that it does NOT default back.

What next?
