About Dominick Germar

My name is Dominick Germar and I have been working as a sports therapist for over 10 years and as a strength and athletic performance coach for 8 years.

My work is built around one clear goal: helping people become stronger, more resilient, more capable, and pain-free — whether they are youth athletes, ambitious recreational athletes, or high-performance competitors.

My own athletic journey began in swimming and later led me into competitive football, where I played at the highest youth level. An injury eventually ended my path as an athlete, but it also opened a new one: it sparked my deep interest in rehabilitation, performance development, injury prevention, and the safe return to sport.

This became the foundation for my education as a sports and gymnastics teacher and sports therapist. Since then, I have continued to expand my knowledge through further training in strength and conditioning, physiotherapeutic methods, rehabilitation sports, neuroathletics, speed and agility, and personal training.

Through numerous internships, practical experiences, and close collaboration with athletes, teams, and head coaches from different sports, I have built a broad and well-founded understanding of athletic development and rehabilitation.

My approach is holistic, individual, and performance-oriented. Every athlete brings different physical qualities, goals, challenges, and needs. That is why my work is not only about treating pain or improving single performance markers, but about building long-term stability, resilience, confidence, and athletic capacity.

One sentence has stayed with me throughout my journey:

“As a coach, you have many athletes and many careers. But as an athlete, you only have one.”

For me, this sentence reflects the responsibility that comes with coaching and therapy. My goal is to support every athlete in the best possible way — with knowledge, structure, honesty, and a clear focus on sustainable development.

My current and previous athletes and teams include:

  • 1st Bundesliga Volleyball
  • Volleyball Youth Performance Center
  • Track and Field / Heptathlon with participation in German Championships
  • Youth Performance Swimming with Junior European Championships, German Youth Championships, and German Championships
  • Artistic Gymnastics with national squad athletes and international competitions
  • Rhythmic Gymnastics, including a German Champion
  • Youth Handball

With VolleyForce Elite, I combine my expertise in athletic performance, rehabilitation, and physical development with the international top-level volleyball experience of Guido Görtzen.

Together, we form a strong team: high-performance training, athletic development, injury prevention, and volleyball-specific expertise in one system.

Our goal is to make professional training structures accessible to ambitious volleyball players — helping them become stronger, more explosive, more resilient, and better prepared for the demands of the game.

About Guido Görtzen

Volleyball has shaped my entire life.

From a young age, I learned what it means to compete, to sacrifice, and to push beyond limits. That journey eventually led me to the highest level of international volleyball: three Olympic Games, a gold medal with the Dutch National Team at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, and a professional career with top clubs in Italy, Russia, and Japan.

Over the years, I had the privilege of working with some of the best coaches, strength specialists, performance experts, and athletes in the world. I experienced firsthand what separates good athletes from elite performers, not only physically, but mentally as well.

What I discovered is simple:

Talent alone is never enough.

True development comes from structure, discipline, consistency, intelligent training, recovery, resilience, and the willingness to improve every single day.

That philosophy became the foundation of VolleyForce Elite.

My goal is to make high-level performance training accessible to ambitious athletes everywhere, not only professional players, but also young athletes who are hungry to grow and willing to put in the work.

The systems, methods, and training principles we use are inspired by decades of experience at the highest international level of volleyball and adapted into practical, structured, and effective programs that athletes can apply in their own development journey.

At VolleyForce Elite, we focus on far more than simply lifting weights.

We focus on building:

  • Strength and explosiveness
  • Injury prevention, resilience and long-term durability
  • Mobility and body control
  • Athletic movement quality
  • Mental discipline and professional habits
  • Confidence under pressure
  • Sustainable performance development

Although our foundation comes from elite volleyball, our training philosophy is highly transferable to many sports where power, movement efficiency, coordination, speed, and resilience matter.

One of the biggest reasons I strongly believe in this project is the collaboration with Dominick Germar.

Throughout my professional career, I have seen countless performance systems, rehabilitation approaches, and strength programs at elite clubs and national teams around the world. Working together with Dominick in Karlsruhe immediately stood out to me because of his exceptional combination of knowledge, practical application, individual athlete care, and long-term vision.

His expertise in sports therapy, rehabilitation, athletic development, neuroathletics, and injury prevention perfectly complements my experience from international top-level volleyball and elite team environments.

Together, we created VolleyForce Elite to combine:

  • International elite volleyball experience
  • Modern athletic performance training
  • Injury prevention and rehabilitation expertise
  • Professional structure and long-term development
  • A practical system athletes can actually follow and sustain

Our mission is clear:

To help ambitious athletes become stronger, healthier, more explosive, more resilient, and mentally prepared to perform at their highest level.

Because in the end, high performance is not built in one moment.

It is built through daily habits, intelligent training, consistency, and the courage to demand more from yourself than yesterday.
