What we collect and why

We collect the information needed to answer your inquiry, manage your order and create your song. This may include your name, email address, order and payment status, your commission brief, relevant personal details and correspondence.

We use this information to communicate with you, create and deliver the agreed work, provide support, maintain necessary business records and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information or add you to promotional email lists without your consent.

Service providers and AI tools

Payhip and its payment providers process purchases and payments. Their privacy policies describe their own processing. We do not ask you to send payment card details through our contact form.

We also use email, cloud storage and creative tools to manage orders and create music. These may include Suno and ChatGPT. Relevant lyrics and details incorporated in them may be processed by these services, potentially outside Canada, under their own terms and privacy practices.

We aim to share only information necessary for the work. We do not send your entire interview or unrelated sensitive information to an AI tool. Before work starts, we will explain the tools relevant to your commission and obtain your consent for processing personal details needed in the lyrics or prompts. If you prefer that a detail be omitted or replaced, tell us before work begins.

Private commission songs and stories will not be used in public posts or marketing by Zenlala Creative Studio. Processing through a service provider is separate from public publication.

Retention and protection

We restrict access to customer information and use reasonable safeguards. We retain information only as needed to complete and support orders, keep required business records and resolve disputes, then securely delete or anonymize it. Payment, tax and contract records may need to be retained longer than creative working material. Service providers may have their own retention requirements.

Your choices and requests

Contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information, ask about our handling practices, request deletion, or withdraw consent. Some information must be retained for legal or business obligations. Withdrawing permission to process details essential to an unfinished commission may prevent completion; we will explain the consequences before acting.
