Custom Song Commission
Your story and the creative process
The initial consultation is conducted by email with the buyer. We discuss your story, the occasion, important names and details, and your preferred mood and musical style. All commission correspondence, approvals, payments and delivery are handled directly with the buyer. Before payment, we confirm the commission in writing, including the scope, total price, currency, applicable taxes, payment schedule and agreed delivery date.
Lyrics are written by Lala. Music and vocals are created with the assistance of AI tools. Your song is a creative interpretation of our agreed brief. Separate lyric approval is not part of the process. A commission includes one completed song, rather than a selection of alternative songs.
Payments and listening preview
A 50% deposit is required before creative work begins. This deposit pays for the consultation and creative work on your commission and is credited toward the total price.
Once the song is complete, we send the buyer a short listening preview. The preview may contain an audible “Zenlala preview” tag and is for your private review only. It must not be published, distributed or used as a finished recording.
If you approve the preview and wish to proceed, the remaining 50% is payable before delivery. After full payment, you receive the complete MP3 without the preview tag, through the download link or delivery method confirmed for your order. Videos, artwork, stems and alternate versions are not included unless specifically agreed.
If the completed song follows the agreed brief but you decide not to proceed, the deposit is retained for the creative work and time spent. No remaining balance is due, and the full MP3 is not delivered.
Corrections and changes
We correct mistakes we make in names or factual details that you correctly supplied in the agreed brief, without an additional fee.
One request for a small lyric adjustment that keeps the same story and overall direction is included before final approval. Please send any requested adjustments together in one message. This does not include new verses, a different story or a substantial rewrite.
Changes to the agreed musical style, voice, melody, beat, rhythm or tempo are treated as a new version or new song. They require a separate written agreement and fee before work begins. Additional lyric changes or substantial rewrites are also quoted separately.
Because music and vocals use AI tools, a lyric correction or adjustment may also change parts of the musical performance. We will explain the available options before making an adjustment; we cannot promise an identical recording with only a word replaced.
Cancellations and refunds
If you cancel after creative work has begun, the 50% deposit is normally non-refundable because it pays for work already undertaken. If you cancel before creative work begins, the deposit will be refunded.
If Zenlala Creative Studio cannot complete your commission for a reason on our side, payments received for that commission will be refunded in full. If extra time is needed, we will contact you to agree on a revised delivery date.
A preview that does not follow the agreed brief is not treated as a simple change of mind. Please contact us so we can resolve the issue through an appropriate correction or refund.
After you approve the preview and receive the completed song, we do not normally offer refunds for a change of mind. This does not affect remedies for a defective file, failure to provide the agreed service, or any rights under applicable consumer law.
Exclusive delivery and permitted use
After full payment, your commissioned song is delivered only to you, the buyer. If the song is a gift, you are responsible for giving the completed MP3 to your chosen recipient. Zenlala Creative Studio does not contact or deliver to gift recipients. Zenlala Creative Studio will not publish it, use it in advertising or a portfolio, or sell or supply it to other customers. We may retain a private working or backup copy for order support.
You and your intended recipient may keep the MP3, make personal backups, play it on your own devices and use it for the personal occasion agreed in your commission, such as a wedding, anniversary or memorial.
You may give the completed commissioned MP3 to your chosen gift recipient. Apart from this permitted gift, please do not share the purchase/download link, resell the recording, distribute copies to others or upload it publicly. Public online sharing, commercial distribution or other uses outside the agreed personal use require a separate written agreement.
“Exclusive” describes our promise about how we handle your commissioned recording. It does not guarantee that AI-generated music will qualify for copyright protection or that unrelated creators will not produce similar music. This standard commission does not transfer copyright in the lyrics or recording. Any requested copyright assignment or broader rights must be addressed separately in writing.
