I've always loved being creative. Growing up, I took every chance I had to learn new crafts and mediums. Clay throwing, carpentry, sewing, painting, beading, knitting, crocheting (yes! there is a difference between the two), brazing, mosaic, and the list goes on and on.
Where I found my passion was in furniture. I know, it might be an odd passion, but it is what it is. I'm able to take so much of my crafting experience and creative love, and use it to make some truly unique pieces.
I have Steve! He's the hubs. Even if some of my ideas are crazy, he's right there to help where needed. He's great at helping to coordinate colors, tearing down, and choosing some finial details to complete the piece to perfection. But more than that...I can always count on him to make me laugh while working.
I'm able to tear a piece down to the bare frame (and occasionally building a custom frame if the piece calls for it), making any needed repairs, and redoing the piece to completion. This may (or may not) include the use of some non-traditional crafting mediums.
When I'm not making furniture into functional art, I love using my creativity to make other items. Afterall, my creativity can NOT be contained. So, I can often be found making other soft furnishings, home décor, and maybe a handbag or two. Well, I guess, I make or upcycle just about anything that comes to mind.
