We’re located across from the Mallalieu Inn, in North Hudson, WI. If you are coming from downtown Hudson, just continue down 2nd St. Take the first left after crossing the Lake Mallalieu Bridge, and we’re exactly one block down on the right-hand-side.

Absolutely! We know that everyone has different taste, and, while we carry a wide variety of options, we may not have exactly what you’re looking for. However, please refer to our COM (Customer's Own Material) Policy.

If you’ve purchased fabric through A & S Sewing & Design, in keeping with industry standards, all fabric is non-refundable. If the wrong fabric was shipped/ordered, or there is a flaw, it will be exchanged for the correct fabric.

Many of our fabric vendors have their own fabric warranties. While we do our best to assist in choosing the right fabric for your project, we cannot warranty fabric outside of what the vendor has available.

Absolutely! We can work with many types of materials. However, it is always best to bring your material (or a sample) in to see if it would be suited for your project. Such materials may be subject to our COM (Customer's Own Material) Policy.

Yes! We have many sample books for you to look through. Swatches can be ordered and shipped directly to you in most cases. If you would like, large samples are available for order (pricing would depend on the vendor) so that you can see the full scale of large patterns.

A deposit of your materials (cost of fabric, foam, or any specialty supplies that would be ordered specifically for your project, along with the applicable sales tax) is due to place your project in the queue. Once those materials are in and inspected, we will contact you to schedule your project. The final balance due upon completion.

We accept Cash, Credit/Debit, or Check (Checks are subject to clearing/verification before the start of the project or final payment). All projects are invoiced through online invoicing. An invoice is sent when your project is scheduled with the deposit due before supplies/materials are ordered, and the final balance being due at completion. If there is more than one piece for your project, and they are not being done at the same time, the final balances will be split to the appropriate amounts to each completed piece at their pick up. These payments may be made through the online invoice prior to coming to our shop, or in person when you get here. You DO NOT have to pay online if you don’t want to. You will automatically be emailed a receipt once payments are completed.

An estimate is just that, an estimate of the cost of the services. While we always try the best we can to evaluate how much work your piece will need, there are some things that just can’t be seen until furniture is stripped down. In the event that this happens, you will be notified immediately before proceeding.

We remove the old fabric. We believe in doing quality work and would never cover old materials. If you would like to have the old materials returned to you, be sure to let us know ahead of time and it will be bagged for you to take when you return.

Customers are responsible for their own transport. Because we understand that everyone is unique, certain services may be available for a fee.

Yes! We love working on all types of home products.

We do. However, we do not have a place to house a vehicle or boat. Customers are responsible for removing their own seats, cushions, etc. and bringing them in. We also do NOT do any work with car seats that have air bags in them.

Heck yeah we do! There are a lot of skills we have under our belt, and we are anxious to use them. We love being creative and working with customers to make something truly unique and perfect for you. If you’re not sure if your project is something we would work on, be sure to ask. We may surprise you.

We recommend cleaning/vacuuming out the crevices of your piece of furniture as best you can.

We get it, life happens, and we try to work with everyone best we can. However, if you need to cancel your project and supplies have not been ordered, than we will refund your money within 14 business days (minus any processing fees, ie. credit/debit card processing). Any fabric, foam, or specialty supplies that were ordered specifically for your project are non-refundable and yours to keep. If you need to cancel and your project has been started, any and all deposits/down payments are forfeited and a balance may be owed.

Once we notify you of your project being complete, if it has not been picked up with in 7 days (unless previous arrangements were made) storage fees may be applied. After 30 days of being notified (unless previous arrangements were made), if your project has still not been picked up, late fees on the balance may be applied.

No, we do not store customer furniture.

It doesn’t happen often, but sometimes, after the tear-down has begun, we recommend not moving forward. While these occasions are VERY rare, they usually have to do with heavy pet urine or mold infestation into the wooden frame or sever structural issues. At that point, we would refund any extra deposit (minus the cost of supplies). Any materials you have purchased through A & S Sewing & Design (fabric, foam, specialty supplies purchased specifically for your project) they would be yours to keep. You would be responsible for removal of your item(s), or we could have it disposed for an added disposal fee.

Due to the custom nature of our products/services, we do not offer returns. If an item was not correct, we will exchange it for the correct item.
