About Me
I am a Registered Nurse and ADHD Assessor who has worked on both sides of the assessment process.
I have conducted hundreds of ADHD assessments, and I kept seeing the same pattern. People would wait months for their appointment, come prepared in their own way, sit down in front of a clinician… and then struggle to explain what has been affecting them for years.
Not because their difficulties were unclear.
But because ADHD makes recall harder under pressure.
Because the assessment setting is unfamiliar and high-stakes.
Because no one shows people how to prepare in a way that actually works.
That gap is what ADHD Prepared was built to solve.
This is not a diagnostic tool. It does not tell you what to say or try to influence an outcome. It helps you organise your own real experiences in a way that can be clearly understood in an assessment.
It guides you through:
- childhood patterns
- current difficulties
- real-life impact
- coping strategies
- and the difference between how you appear and how you actually feel
The structure reflects how ADHD is assessed in clinical practice, including principles from NICE NG87.
The format is simple. Twelve pages. One step at a time.
You can bring it into your assessment. You can read from it. That is completely acceptable.
ADHD Prepared was created from real clinical experience, with one goal:
to help you communicate clearly, so you can be understood accurately.
